IF YOU'VE SET A gOAL.
WHAT IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY YOU HAVE PLACEd AROUND YOU?
TO FORCE YOU TO FOLLOW THROUGH...
More than likely, one of the reasons why you haven't achieved your goals, is there was no one holding you accountable.
In all of my years coaching other people & achieving goals myself, it was always the people who had extreme levels of accountability who had more success... why?
“YOU WILL ONLY RISE TO THE LEVEL YOU ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO.”
This is the dictionary definition of Accountability:
/əˈkaʊntəb(ə)l/ adjective 1. required or expected to justify actions or decisions; responsible.
If you look back at any goals you didn't achieve, why did you not achieve it?
You didn't take the right action? Weren't consistent enough? Didn't work hard enough?
Imagine if you had someone to answer to daily or weekly about your action & results...
What if you were required & expected to justify your actions & decisions on a daily basis...
Would your results & achievements increase or decrease?
For myself... I can't live without accountability now.
Daily me & my team review our goals & we are held accountable to the ones we do not complete. We also review our goals weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly. This high level of transparency & accountability forces you to take more action.
“You will always do more for others, than you will do for yourself.”
I now love some good tough coaching when I do not complete what I said I will complete. Because it makes be become better.
But at the beginning, accountability can be difficult to love & want. Your ego hates it. (I'll have another blog one day soon about the Ego).
Just like every athlete has a coach for guidance, advice & accountability. You do too.
This is why people who workout with a Personal Trainer ALWAYS achieve more results & faster success.
So what accountability will you put in place today?
